Our Minister-General has issued an invitation to attend the 2017 Special General Chapter of the Franciscan Order of the Divine Compassion. The purpose of this Special General Chapter is to elect a Minister-General to succeed the curren holder of that office. All professed
Brothers and Sisters are required to attend, unless granted dispensation
from the Vicar-General. Novices, Companions, spouses, and invited guests may also attend and participate in the

The Special General Chapter meeting will be held at Montserrat Jesuit Retreat Center, Lake Dallas, Texas, USA. The nearest airport is Dallas-Fort Worth International (airport code DFW). It will be on September 22-24, 2017.
The Special General Chapter will convene at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 22 and will close at NOON
on Sunday, Sept 24. Travel arrangements should be made based on those times.
For our members living outside the USA: If you need a letter of invitation to enter the USA and the downloaded one is not sufficient, please email the Secretary-General.
The Cost of Convocation is US$275.00 if paid in cash, check, or money order (US$284 if you use PayPal). (Financial Assistance may be available -- please contact Br. Matthias, OSF) Registrations are due to the Almoner, Brother Matthias, OSF, by September 1. You may register on-line or download a registration form in PDF format from this site.
If desired, use the PayPal "Donate" link at the lower left corner to pay your fees. (Because PayPal takes a cut of the payment, we have to add an extra US5.00 to make up the difference. Sorry!)
A dispensation request must be sent to Br. Glen, OSF, no later than August 15, 2015 .
